Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the quality of life, the development of internet networks and the development of various e-services in order to exam-ine how it affects last-mile delivery processes. In this context, the paper examines the impact of COVID-19 on the market for online services in Central European countries. Within the framework of the primary research, the knowledge background is visualised using Vosviewer, presenting the keywords used for searching and the number of results that were narrowed down. The sec-ondary research will then map the extent of digitalisation development, with a particular focus on Hungary’s development in relation to other countries in terms of e-commerce. The research questions addressed in this paper are: how e-banking and e-commerce services have evolved over the last 5 years and whether COVID-19 has had an impact on the pace of development of digital services. Finally, the implications of the growth of e-commerce from a sustainability point of view, with a particular focus on its logistical aspects, and the possible solutions to over-come this problem are presented, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed solutions. This study is unique in its approach to integrating digitalization and sustainability within the last-mile delivery sector, emphasizing the challenges and opportunities that have arisen post-COVID-19. By focusing on Central European data, specifically Hungary, this paper offers a novel perspective that addresses both regional and industry-specific needs for sustain-able last-mile delivery solutions.
