Abstract: Motorsport has long been a very popular and explorative environment within the automotive industry. Recently, simulated racing has gained significant popularity. The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has led to the development of agents with superhuman capabilities, capturing attention across various domains. SimRacing provides an ideal platform for comparing these agents.

This paper presents a system capable of generating a digital twin of real-time racing events within a simulated virtual environment. By doing so, it enables simulator drivers and AI algo-rithms to compete against real racing professionals with minimal risk of crashes. We outline the essential system requirements and propose key specifications. Additionally, the paper details the primary sub-functions and system architecture for this purpose.
